Hey lady! The interview is over!

As your source for all Jerry Lewis-related news, I'd be remiss in my duties if I didn't alert you to this. It's a short interview with the man himself in the latest issue of Newsweek.

It's noteworthy because, on only the third question (where the reporter asks about Jerry's upcoming book about life with Dean), the Jer gets pissed and the entire interview breaks down. The whole thing is available online here, but let me just give you a sample quote to whet your appetite:

"Let me put it this way. Press is not my favorite thing, OK? For me to be pleasant and sweet to curry favor—nuh-uh. Print the name right. Say when the telethon's on and why we do it, OK?"

Jer! You gotta love him! I know I sure as hell do!

I don't know...Jerry Lewis stopped being funny a LONG time ago. He has a moment here and there, but his sense of humor seems to have vanished.

I respect him for the work he's done for MDA, but he's extremely annoying both during and especially outside of the telethon. I realize he's grown up from the goofy comedian he was years ago, but it's like he did a 180.

I'm sure Jerry Lewis could give a rat's ass about what anyone thinks of him. I'll donate again this year as I always do, so I suppose he'd be happy with that.
