The sounds of that memorable evening

It took me awhile, but I finally figured out how to post some of the sound from Wednesday night's ill-fated Jerry Lewis talk. Here's the last section of the event, beginning with Jerry saying "Let me try to get through to the regular people." The protests had started and Jerry was getting more and more angry. You can hear the woman sitting near us chanting "Piss on pity" (which I originally mistook for something like "Where's Tom Petty?") and the general tone of the extremely pro-Jerry crowd. I apologize for the less-than-crystal clear sound quality, but I think you can hear everything.

And now, without further ado...

Must be a lot of Jerry Lewis fans (and anti-fans) out there, by the way. The original posting on the event drove traffic on this blog up to 10 times it's normal levels. Apparently, even decades after his heyday, Jerry can still bring in the crowds.

I think what drove so many people to your page was that newsfromme.com linked to it. When they once linked my page, I was overwhelmed with visitors too.
